Here's a natural way to tag your city. Make a moss beershake, slap it up and wait for your art to come to life!

Apparently this simple yet effective concoction is an old favourite of gardeners trying to encourage moss growth and provides an excellentt alternative to spray paint.

Found a space invader near us on Kanalstraat
Not sure if its a real one or one of the many copies... it still rocks though, small and descrete.. cool!!
New video out from DELTA INC. (Amsterdam Graffiti artist) This amazing short features his minimalistic architectural 3D designs.

The lovely POPMARTA/fotoGRAFFarte has been kind enough to include my 'boy logo' stickers in her 'BLACK BOOK SERIES' of street art stickers.
I'm quite honored to be on the same spread as RWK & Kaputz!
Thanks Marta!
BIG thanks to TIKKY for negotiating an excellent bombing location on my behalf, during her recent visit to Nepal.
If you see any mrmule stickers around, send me a photo with your name and address and I'll send you a handfull of stickers!
Big shout to MSX who I met last night.
Interestingly enough, we (Peal & I) had just done a tour of Utrechts free art galleries, namely the subways, and come across some great fresh sprayups... this one seemed to stick in our minds for some reason or another (NSFW?).
The MSX_ONE website has some really great work on show. Some of it is that comic book Lichtenstein style... the rest... well, I love it all and I'd really love a canvas!
My young nephews particularly liked her stickers... "LOOK, boobies!!!" .. LOL!

Black Print on White Background

Ordered through the sticker guy
As soon as they arrive, I'll let y'all know!
So I have decided to sticker my bike up all in the unholy name or 'ART'.
I hope to cover the whole thing in graffiti stickers donated by artists from around the world. The thing is there is not much space on a bike, so I have used an oversized Dutch bike (which has nice big panels) and small stickers.

Well if you have ANY small/medium sized graffiti stickers, please email me (mrmule at mrmule dot com) for a postal address.
I will create a page dedicated to this project, so stay tuned for more updates!

Thanks for your comment Marta!
You can check out her FOTOLOG and some work at StickerNation.
Great Stickis... got any more?
Snapped at Amsterdam Amstel

Long interesting article about 'The Utrecht graffiti study'.
Apparently:
Research on the extent of spray-painted graffiti in the city of Utrecht revealed that the area covered was about 9,500 square metres in 1996. It would be extremely costly to remove. The cost of a one-off clean-up of the inner city, where an area of 2,288 square metres was covered in graffiti, was estimated at NLG 1,675,000.

The 'Hall of Fame' - The aim of this preventive approach was to prevent illegal graffiti by offering a location where young people would be allowed to spray paint.
It was developed with the active involvement of local writers, especially one highly regarded within the local graffiti subculture;
the size of the wall was much larger, providing a potential canvas of 500 square metres.
Photographer Peter Sutherland has endeavoured to put faces to those mysterious men and women who wander the Big Apple's five boroughs spraying words like CINIK, DSENSE, EARSNOT and MERZ on whatever surfaces they can reach.
"The people that I chose to photograph are mainly people who do what's called bombing: illegal painting," Sutherland explains. "It's such an anonymous art form ... I was motivated to track them down."
Eventually, however, curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to go out on a bombing run with a couple of taggers. He picked the wrong day to do it. "A passing pedestrian told a cop, and we all got arrested," Sutherland recalls. "I spent the night in Central Booking in Brooklyn."
Isn't it great when your mom has an interest in your work...
