Check out this wicked gallery of DJ photos from Sidemedia.nl
Matt is an up and coming freelance professional photographer, he's really getting a name for himself around the world taking pics in clubs and events, I worked with him one night last month at the TranceEnergy event here in Utrecht, it was great fun hanging round back stage, people give you a different look when they see you behind the security guard, kind of... are you famous and do I know you... great laugh!
I stole this from his site for your pleasure (with kind permission of course)...A great pic of one of my favorite DJs, Carl Cox!
Go check him out - LINK

FLYER/MORE from lofrequency
Monday March 29th 2004 night at the Heineken Music hall in Amsterdam, I went to see the legendary Kraftwerk, I felt like breakdancin' as they played all the 70s & 80s classics.
Pure brilliance, listening to Tour de France and Autobahn etc etc.
Going to AWAKENINGS tonight.. will be calling into ChinaTown on the way to check out the fireworks.. which apparently the dutch have spent 50 million euros on.. so goggles and ear muffs at the ready!

Update tommorow (with all good intentions!?)

WERE NOT WORTHY!!!!!
I have never seen the Melkweg so full of people. The people were from every walk of life and they all unanimously shook they're asses. Dutch people actually danced....Everyone cheered and smiled and toked and toasted. And that was just the crowd. The Skatalites were spectacular. They lived up to my every expectation and surely must have been everything anyone else could imagine or remember. It took me back...Years.
Professionals all the way, they must have the collective age of Australia as we know it. They seemed to have recognised that a touch of youth sprinkled in offers a little more energy at vital points in the gig. I think there are 3 members of the original group remaining, on the night the group including drummer, bass player, sax, trumpets, trombone, synthesisor and vocals. It was a long and non stop gig, no supporting act etc.

Good venue, very large and spacey and well planned on amenities. Split level and balconies on either side of the arena, the munten machines are located on every corner and are the only way you get a drink.
Silkstone were the supporting act and very good too. I had no idea they are Nederlanders. I even recognised a couple of tunes. But I really there to see the Stereophonics!
They were top. A heck of a long gig though. Loads of polite people.
Selective DJs (I'm name dropping now) > Joey Beltram, Billy Nasty, Dave Clarke blah blah blah
mentions Detroit a few times aswell.

Gig and a half. great venue. This gig was ram packed with f****d up fans. The lads did good, considering the collective state of mind not ot mention physical abuse. They paid homage to the crowd and to the Netherlands.
Welcome boys....
