Kraftwerk Amsterdam
Monday March 29th 2004 night at the Heineken Music hall in Amsterdam, I went to see the legendary Kraftwerk, I felt like breakdancin' as they played all the 70s & 80s classics.
Pure brilliance, listening to Tour de France and Autobahn etc etc.

The SkatalitesLocation: Melkweg, Amsterdam
6th November 2003
9 PM - 11.30 AM
€18.90 + €2.50 membership
WERE NOT WORTHY!!!!!
I have never seen the Melkweg so full of people. The people were from every walk of life and they all unanimously shook they're asses. Dutch people actually danced....Everyone cheered and smiled and toked and toasted. And that was just the crowd. The Skatalites were spectacular. They lived up to my every expectation and surely must have been everything anyone else could imagine or remember. It took me back...Years.
Professionals all the way, they must have the collective age of Australia as we know it. They seemed to have recognised that a touch of youth sprinkled in offers a little more energy at vital points in the gig. I think there are 3 members of the original group remaining, on the night the group including drummer, bass player, sax, trumpets, trombone, synthesisor and vocals. It was a long and non stop gig, no supporting act etc.

Stereophonics & Supporting ActLocation: Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam
21st October 2003
8 PM - 12 AM
€30.70
Good venue, very large and spacey and well planned on amenities. Split level and balconies on either side of the arena, the munten machines are located on every corner and are the only way you get a drink.
Silkstone were the supporting act and very good too. I had no idea they are Nederlanders. I even recognised a couple of tunes. But I really there to see the Stereophonics!
They were top. A heck of a long gig though. Loads of polite people.

Gig and a half. great venue. This gig was ram packed with f****d up fans. The lads did good, considering the collective state of mind not ot mention physical abuse. They paid homage to the crowd and to the Netherlands.
Welcome boys....
