Shops in Utrecht

We have a great shop here in Utrecht called 'Lilith | Ravings of a Mad Woman'
Popped into the shop yesterday after a tip off that they have started selling all manner of designer toys *GULPS*

Indeed they do and have a small selection of Qees, Speaker People, Monsterisms and Ci boys. They even had some Dave Kinsey Ltd edition T-Shirts.

Well worth a look in you're in the area!

rave like lilith

They also gave me some stickers for the Graffiti Bike.. HUZZAH!

Stealth Lynndie-ing

From BoingBoing

Stealth disco is when you take video tape yourself or someone rocking and grooving near someone who can't see you doing it.

Stealth Lynndie-ing

In this warped variant of stealth disco, you strike the cigarette-dangling-from-mouth, finger-points-at-exposed-prisoner-genitalia pose made famous by Pfc. Lynndie England in Abu Ghraib torture photos. As a website devoted to Stealth Lynndie-ing explains, "The image has shocked, sickened and outraged people. But more importantly, it has captured the imagination of young men and women up and down the country who don't give much of a sh*t about anything."

LINK
Here are the basic instructions:

So what does doing a Lynndie involve? Here are the basic instructions:

1. Find a victim who deserves to be "Lynndied".

2. Make sure you have a friend nearby with a camera ready to capture the "Lynndie".

3. Stick a cigarette (or pen) in your mouth and allow it to hang slightly below the horizontal.

4. Face the camera, tilt your upper body slightly forward but lean back on your right leg.

5. Make a hitchhiking gesture with your right hand and extend your right arm so that it's in roughly the same position as if you were holding a rifle.

6. Keeping your left arm slightly bent, point in the direction of the victim and smile.

Ideally, you should refrain from telling the victim what you're about to do. Victims who are unaware, bemused or angry make for a Lynddie that is more in keeping with the original.

Graffiti Bike Project

So I have decided to sticker my bike up all in the unholy name or 'ART'.
I hope to cover the whole thing in graffiti stickers donated by artists from around the world. The thing is there is not much space on a bike, so I have used an oversized Dutch bike (which has nice big panels) and small stickers.

I will create a page dedicated to this project, so stay tuned for more updates!

BAD CODE

From Boing-Boing

Beanbag bondage chair website code almost as fun as chair itself
Remember that "Bond Age Beanbag chair" with chains, blogged here yesterday? Oh, of course you do, pumpkin. Anyway, crafty BoingBoing reader Adam tips us off to the fact that the manufacturer's website includes a very poorly designed CMS feature that allows you to pass whatever text you fancy along to the image caption. Let's break this down. Here is the URL that links to details on the "Bond Age" beanbag chair from Jucci.com's homepage:

http://www.jucci.com/bp.asp?p=bond-age-5-700.jpg ^700^519
^center&t=Bond+Age+Beanie&s=Naughty+but+nice!
+Introducing+our+racy+new+model!

Heh. Notice how the last bit of that url is the caption text? That could just as easily become:

http://www.jucci.com/bp.asp?p=bond-age-5-700.jpg^700^519
^center&t=F*ck+Bag&s=Whip+My+Tender+ASP+With+Your+
Hot+Throbbing+Pageview+Totals

Or, frankly, whatever the hell you like. Have fun with their server logs!

mrmule <LIVE> UPDATE

Saturday afternnon was a great success!
After picking up the sound system with Stephan, I got all the wires sorted out and the decks setup, opened the windows and started playing to the street. There was generally a good reaction (what with it being a super hot sunny day), people were dancing on their bikes and smiling as they walked past.

I DJd for about 4 hours solid, starting with chunky techno music and the last hour or so was tres chilled out and summery.
Unfortunately there was no-one to join me to record the set... ay well!

The gig with Babara & Jurr from the Supperclub was SUPERB!!!! All three of us played one record on for over 2 hours.... and I got it recorded!!!!! (I'll upload it today/tonight for y'all)

When we were packing all the stuff away Sunday, the guy who owns the coffeeshop downstairs asked me if I would play some gigs for him in one of his establishments... YAY... shameless self promotion always works eh!?
